Gabríela Friðriksdóttir’s oil paintings come to life: mystical creatures drift through a blue, cloudy, canvas-textured world, around the archetypes Björk explores in the song — victimhood, sacrifice, maternal care.
Pierre-Alain Giraud animates the pictorial universe of Friðriksdóttir, a long-time collaborator of Björk. Unveiled in Lisbon at the opening of the Cornucopia tour, the film was projected on stage throughout the tour; it was released online on September 5, 2023, as the sixth video from the album Fossora.
