Avec Anne Brochet

With Pierre-Alain Giraud, the collaboration crosses forms: he edits her short films and her documentary for Arte, creates the video and sound for her solo show Odile et l’eau — and they co-direct two feature films, Rêve de mouette and Une cabine à soi, each with its own dedicated page.

A solo show written, conceived and performed by Anne Brochet, choreographed and staged with Joëlle Bouvier. Odile, in her fifties, swims all summer long in a municipal pool “so as not to sink” — a poolside journal, part playful, part introspective, wrapped in Pierre-Alain Giraud’s water projections and sound design. Premiered at the Théâtre Gérard Philipe, CDN de Saint-Denis (November 17–27, 2022), produced by MC2: Grenoble; toured to the Théâtre National de Strasbourg, Châteauvallon, Amiens, the TNB in Rennes (2025) and Les Bernardines in Marseille (2026).

What does one do with an animal’s name? Anne Brochet goes to meet Monsieur Pigeon, Madame Lerat, Isabelle Veaux, searching their lives for the echo of their name — a whimsical comedy about names, filiation and inheritance. Produced by Quark Productions, broadcast on Arte on June 27, 2013.

An actress plays the queen on a theater stage; thoughts from her daily life cross her mind without anything showing — and back home, the theater comes to inhabit her life. Written, directed and performed by Anne Brochet, with Arié Elmaleh.
