A disenchanted French actress, dreaming of a new life, arrives in Hollywood with her two children and their dog. One morning, her father tells her about the dream he had the night before: in it, she was making a film around Chekhov’s “The Seagull”.
Between her daily life in Los Angeles, her family, her dog — now the star of the neighborhood — and Chekhov’s theatre, Anne Brochet revisits in the first person her youthful dreams and their disillusions — until life, as in the play, catches up with the actress.
