A spirit — the voice of Nancy Huston — awakens in the limbo of the world’s interconnected memory. From data centers to Internet pioneers, In Limbo asks what we are building: “a new cathedral… or the greatest cemetery in our history”. Produced by Providences with ARTE France and the National Film Board of Canada, the film also exists as an interactive version, launched by Arte and the NFB and presented at IDFA DocLab 2014.

Presented out of competition at the 2014 Festival International du Film d’Environnement.

Tehran, in the aftermath of the 2009 post-election protests: a family hides the death of its youngest member from the grandmother. Shot on 35 mm at the London Film School, where Pierre-Alain Giraud shot the film and co-edited it. BAFTA nomination for Best Short Film (2012).
